In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, V Srinivas Goud of TRS won in this seat defeating M Chandra Shekar of TDP by a margin of 57,775 which was 36.19% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 54.16% in 2018 in this seat.
