In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Ajay Kumar Puvvada of TRS won in this seat defeating Nama Nageswara Rao of TDP by a margin of 10,991 which was 5.32% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 49.78% in 2018 in this seat.
