In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Danam Nagender of TRS won in this seat defeating Chintala Rama Chandra Reddy of BJP by a margin of 28,402 which was 20.07% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 44.56% in 2018 in this seat.
