In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Jogu Ramanna of TRS won in this seat defeating Payal Shankar of BJP by a margin of 26,606 which was 16.05% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 44.66% in 2018 in this seat.
