In the 2019 Sikkim Assembly elections, Dorjee Tshering Lepcha of SDF won in this constituency beating Sonam Tshering Venchungpa of SKM by a margin of 73 votes which was 0.53% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Mechung Bhutia of SKM was the winner in this seat beating Menlom Lepcha of SDF by a margin of 479 votes which was 3.97% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Menlom Lepcha of SDF won this seat defeating Rinzing Namgyal of INC by a margin of 3,365 votes which was 33.71% of the total votes polled for the seat.
