In the 2019 Sikkim Assembly elections, Krishna Bahadur Rai of SDF won in this constituency beating Damber Kumar Pradhan of SKM by a margin of 1,327 votes which was 9.34% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Bikram Pradhan of SDF was the winner in this seat beating Kharga Bahadur Gurung of SKM by a margin of 3,411 votes which was 26.54% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Puran Kr Gurung of SDF won this seat defeating Harka Raj Gurung of INC by a margin of 5,963 votes which was 54.89% of the total votes polled for the seat.
