    In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Nauri Nayak of BJP won in this constituency beating Reena Tanty of BJD by a margin of 6,743 votes which was 4.33% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Ramesh Patua of BJD was the winner in this seat beating Nauri Nayak of BJP by a margin of 1,830 votes which was 1.39% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Duryodhan Gardia of INC won this seat defeating M B Pyariraj of IND by a margin of 13,784 votes which was 13.27% of the total votes polled for the seat.
