    In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Bhupinder Singh of BJD won in this constituency beating Aniruddha Padhan of BJP by a margin of 9,020 votes which was 5.27% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Dhaneswar Majhi of BJD was the winner in this seat beating Jagannath Pattnayak of INC by a margin of 15,768 votes which was 10.48% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Bhupinder Singh of INC won this seat defeating Srikant Hota of BJP by a margin of 27,512 votes which was 20.08% of the total votes polled for the seat.
