In 2014, Duryodhan Majhi of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Adhiraj Mohan Panigrahi of INC by a margin of 7,126 votes which was 4.26% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Hitesh Kumar Bagartti of BJP won this seat defeating Duryodhan Majhi of BJD by a margin of 11,366 votes which was 7.91% of the total votes polled for the seat.
