In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Saluga Pradhan of BJD won in this constituency beating Shyamaghana Pradhan of INC by a margin of 11,261 votes which was 8.17% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Jacob Pradhan of INC was the winner in this seat beating Pradeep Kumar Pradhan of BJD by a margin of 10,289 votes which was 8.37% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Manoj Kumar Pradhan of BJP won this seat defeating Ajayanti Pradhan of INC by a margin of 23,935 votes which was 23.36% of the total votes polled for the seat.
