Election results

In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, Dr R Lalthangliana of MNF won in this seat defeating John Siamkunga of INC by a margin of 1,469 which was 11.92% of the total votes cast for the seat. MNF had a vote share of 49.69% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, John Siamkunga of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating J Lalchhuana of ZNP by a margin of 1,568 votes which was 13.55% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 42.44% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Lalthanhawla of INC won this seat beating J Lalchhuana of ZNP by a margin of 96 votes which was 0.9% of the total votes polled in the constituency. ZNP had a vote share of 35.45% in the seat.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 661 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of South Tuipui is: 22°56'34.8"N 93°01'44.4"E.
