Election results
In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, H Lalzirliana of MNF won in this seat defeating John Rotluangliana of INC by a margin of 407 which was 2.1% of the total votes cast for the seat. MNF had a vote share of 35.39% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, John Rotluangliana of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating H B Lianmunga of MNF by a margin of 2,490 votes which was 14.63% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 45.81% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, John Rotluangliana of INC won this seat beating Lalthlengliana of MNF by a margin of 2,147 votes which was 15.53% of the total votes polled in the constituency. MNF had a vote share of 31.98% in the seat.

Mamit comprises of the following areas of Mamit district in the North region of Mizoram: Villages N Sabual, Dampui, Nalzawl, Bawngva, mamit (Notified Town), N Tlangkhang, Pathiantlang, Suarhliap, Phaizau, Chilui in Zawlnuam R D Block; and Villages Saitlaw, W Serzawl, Hmunpui, Dilzawl, Rawpuichhip, lengte, Nghalchawm, Dapchhuah (Tutphai), lengpui (Notified Town) – lengpui in Reiek R D Block; and Villages Khantlang, Tuipuibari, Rajivnagar, Andermanik, Damparengpui, Khawhnai, Tuirum, Salem Boarding and Teirei Forest in W Phaileng R D Block.
