In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, C Ngunlianchunga of INC won in this seat defeating C Ramhluna of MNF by a margin of 795 which was 3.64% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 48.88% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, C Ngunlianchunga of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating C Ramhluna of MNF by a margin of 1,535 votes which was 7.84% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 52.72% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, C Ramhluna of MNF won this seat beating L H Chhuanawma of INC by a margin of 800 votes which was 4.73% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 35.97% in the seat.
