Election results
In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, Lalchamliana of MNF won in this seat defeating Vanlalawmpuii Chawngthu of INC by a margin of 757 which was 5.9% of the total votes cast for the seat. MNF had a vote share of 35.62% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Lal Thanhawla of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Lalthansanga of MPC by a margin of 1,628 votes which was 13.29% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 42.21% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Lalthansanga of MPC won this seat beating Ronald Sapa Tlau of INC by a margin of 452 votes which was 3.86% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 37.8% in the seat.

Hrangturzo comprises of the following areas of Serchhip district in the North region of Mizoram: N Vanlaiphai (Notified Town), and Villages leilet (NV), maicham, Bawktlang, lungkawlh, east lungdar, N mualcheng, Sailulak, leng, Khawlailung, Piler, Chekkawn, Sialsir and lungchhuan in east lungdar R D Block; and Villages Hmunzawl, Hriangtlang, Keitum and east Bungtlang in Serchhip R D Block; and Village Biate in e lungdar R D Block of Champhai District.
