In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, Ramthanmawia of MNF won in this seat defeating C Laltanpuia of IND by a margin of 587 which was 5% of the total votes cast for the seat. MNF had a vote share of 37.32% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, T Sangkunga of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Zoramthanga of MNF by a margin of 798 votes which was 7.03% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 43.37% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, B Lalthlengliana of MNF won this seat beating H Thangchuanga of INC by a margin of 467 votes which was 4.39% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 35.58% in the seat.
