In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Chhagan Bhujbal of NCP won in this constituency beating Sambhaji Sahebrao Pawar of SS by a margin of 56,265 votes which was 27.93% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Chhagan Bhujbal of NCP was the winner in this seat beating Pawar Sambhaji Sahebrao of SS by a margin of 46,442 votes which was 23.95% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Chhagan Bhujbal of NCP won this seat defeating Adv Shinde-Patil Manikrao Madhavrao of SS by a margin of 50,180 votes which was 29.76% of the total votes polled for the seat.
