In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Adv Ashish Babaji Shelar of BJP won in this constituency beating Asif Ahmed Zakaria of INC by a margin of 26,469 votes which was 20.20% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Av Ashish Shelar of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Baba Ziauddin Siddique of INC by a margin of 26,911 votes which was 18.33% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, (Baba) Ziauddin Siddique of INC won this seat defeating Adv Ashish Shelar of BJP by a margin of 1,691 votes which was 1.32% of the total votes polled for the seat.
