This constituency covers an approximate area of square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 18°54'42.5"N 73°06'32.0"E.

A total of five Assembly constituencies in the state of Maharashtra share borders with Uran constituency, which are: Panvel, Belapur, Karjat, Alibag, Pen. This constituency shares an inter-state border with .

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Mahesh Baldi of IND won in this constituency beating Manohar Gajanan Bhoir of SS by a margin of 5,718 votes which was 02.61% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Manohar Gajanan Bhoir of SS was the winner in this seat beating Patil Vivek Shankar of PWPI by a margin of 811 votes which was 0.41% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Patil Vivekanand Shankar of PWPI won this seat defeating Mhatre Shyam Padaji of INC by a margin of 20,025 votes which was 13.16% of the total votes polled for the seat.
