In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Uday Ravindra Samant of SS won in this constituency beating Sudesh Sadanand Mayekar of NCP by a margin of 87,147 votes which was 53.44% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Uday Ravindra Samant of SS was the winner in this seat beating Balasaheb Mane of BJP by a margin of 39,427 votes which was 22.44% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Uday Ravindra Samant of NCP won this seat defeating Bal Mane of BJP by a margin of 8,276 votes which was 5.19% of the total votes polled for the seat.
