In 2014, Devendra Gangadhar Fadnavis of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Prafulla Vinod Gudadhe (Patil) of INC by a margin of 58,942 votes which was 30.6% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Devendra Gangadharrao Fadnavis of BJP won this seat defeating Vikas Pandurang Thakre of INC by a margin of 27,775 votes which was 15.86% of the total votes polled for the seat.
