Demographic profile

There were a total of 4,11,241 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Assembly election in Nagpur South West Assembly constituency, of which 2,02,298 were male, 2,08,914 female and 29 of the third gender. In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 3,84,355 registered voters, of which 1,92,485 were male, 1,91,857 female and 13 from the third gender. In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Devendra Gangadharrao Fadnavis of BJP won in this constituency beating Dr Ashish Deshmukh of INC by a margin of 49,228 votes which was 25.62% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Devendra Gangadhar Fadnavis of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Prafulla Vinod Gudadhe (Patil) of INC by a margin of 58,942 votes which was 30.6% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Devendra Gangadharrao Fadnavis of BJP won this seat defeating Vikas Pandurang Thakre of INC by a margin of 27,775 votes which was 15.86% of the total votes polled for the seat.
