In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Aslam Ramzanali Shaikh of INC won in this constituency beating Thakur Ramesh Singh of BJP by a margin of 10,382 votes which was 06.64% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Aslam Shaikh of INC was the winner in this seat beating Dr Ram Barot of BJP by a margin of 2,303 votes which was 1.52% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Aslam Shaikh of INC won this seat defeating R U Singh of BJP by a margin of 27,695 votes which was 23.32% of the total votes polled for the seat.
