This constituency covers an approximate area of 1290.94 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 18°55'54.5"N 77°11'54.6"E.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Shyamsundar Shinde of PWPI won in this constituency beating Shivkumar Narayanrao Narangale of VBA by a margin of 63,342 votes which was 32.87% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Chikhalikar Prataprao Govindrao of SS was the winner in this seat beating Dhondge Mukteshwar Keshavrao of BJP by a margin of 45,486 votes which was 23.11% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Dhondge Shankarrao Ganeshrao of NCP won this seat defeating Chikhalikar Prataprao Govindrao of LB by a margin of 9,364 votes which was 5.42% of the total votes polled for the seat.
