In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Eknath Sambhaji Shinde of SS won in this constituency beating Ghadigaonkar Sanjay Pandurang of INC by a margin of 88,978 votes which was 51.24% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Eknath Sambhaji Shinde of SS was the winner in this seat beating Adv Sandeep Lele of BJP by a margin of 51,869 votes which was 28.1% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Eknath Sambhaji Shinde of SS won this seat defeating Shinde Manoj Tukaram of INC by a margin of 32,776 votes which was 20.23% of the total votes polled for the seat.
