A total of three Assembly constituencies in the state of Maharashtra share borders with Kinwat constituency, which are: Arni, Umarkhed, Hadgaon,. This constituency shares an inter-state border with Adilabad and Nirmal districts of Telangana.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Bhimrao Ramji Keram of BJP won in this constituency beating Jadhav Pradeep Naik of NCP by a margin of 13,114 votes which was 07.11% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Jadhav Pradeep Naik of NCP was the winner in this seat beating Bhimrao Ramji Keram of IND by a margin of 4,975 votes which was 2.86% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Jadhav Pradeep Hemsingh (Naik) of NCP won this seat defeating Keram Bhimrao Ramji of BJP by a margin of 18,162 votes which was 12.4% of the total votes polled for the seat.
