This constituency covers an approximate area of 1033.43 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 17°27'42.5"N 74°10'47.6"E.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Balasaheb Urf Shamrao Pandurang Patil of NCP won in this constituency beating Manoj Bhimrao Ghorpade of IND by a margin of 48,856 votes which was 24.50% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Patil Shamrao Alias Balaso Pandurang of NCP was the winner in this seat beating Kadam Dhairyashil Dnyandeo of INC by a margin of 20,507 votes which was 10.76% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Patil Shamrao Alias Balasaheb Pandurang of IND won this seat defeating Atul Suresh Bhosale of NCP by a margin of 41,087 votes which was 23.04% of the total votes polled for the seat.
