In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Atul Bhatkhalkar of BJP won in this constituency beating Dr Ajanta Rajpati Yadav of INC by a margin of 52,293 votes which was 38.83% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Atul Bhatkhalkar of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Thakur Ramesh Singh of INC by a margin of 41,188 votes which was 27.99% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Thakur Ramesh Singh of INC won this seat defeating Jaiprakash Thakur of BJP by a margin of 11,306 votes which was 9.68% of the total votes polled for the seat.
