This constituency covers an approximate area of 1606.19 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 17°16'59.9"N 73°36'33.8"E.

In 2014, Chavan Sadanand Narayan of SS was the winner in this seat beating Shekhar Govindrao Nikam of NCP by a margin of 6,068 votes which was 3.62% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Chavan Sadanand Narayan of SS won this seat defeating Kadam Rameshbhai Ramchandra of NCP by a margin of 18,484 votes which was 12.18% of the total votes polled for the seat.
