This constituency covers an approximate area of 2082.74 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 20°16'52.3"N 79°46'20.6"E.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Vijay Namdevrao Wadettiwar of INC won in this constituency beating Sandip Wamanrao Gaddamwar of SS by a margin of 18,538 votes which was 09.58% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Wadettiwar Vijay Namdevrao of INC was the winner in this seat beating Atul Devidas Deshkar of BJP by a margin of 13,610 votes which was 7.09% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Atul Devidas Deshkar of BJP won this seat defeating Gaddamwar Sandeep Wamanrao of IND by a margin of 5,495 votes which was 3.65% of the total votes polled for the seat.
