This constituency covers an approximate area of 3097.97 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 20°31'40.4"N 80°17'34.1"E.

A total of six Assembly constituencies in the state of Maharashtra share borders with Armori constituency, which are: Chimur, Brahmapuri, Gadchiroli, Sakoli, Arjuni-Morgaon, Amgaon. This constituency shares an inter-state border with Mohla-Manpur- Ambagarh Chowki district of Chhattisgarh.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Gajbe Krushna Damaji of BJP won in this constituency beating Anandrao Gangaram Gedam of INC by a margin of 21,635 votes which was 11.94% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Krushna Damaji Gajbe of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Anandrao Gagaram Gedam of INC by a margin of 12,733 votes which was 7.36% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Anandrao Gangaram Gedam of INC won this seat defeating Chandel Surendrasingh Bajrangsingh of IND by a margin of 5,555 votes which was 3.83% of the total votes polled for the seat.
