In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Govind Singh Rajput of INC won in this seat defeating Sudheer Yadav of BJP by a margin of 21,418 which was 14.67% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 55.33% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Parul Sahu Kesari of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Govind Singh Rajpoot of INC by a margin of 141 votes which was 0.1% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 43.62% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Govindsingh Rajput of INC won this seat beating Rajendrasingh Mokalpur of BJP by a margin of 12,438 votes which was 11.38% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 50.29% in the seat.
