In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Kamleshwar Indrajeet Kumar of INC won in this seat defeating Shivbahadursingh Chandel of BJP by a margin of 31,506 which was 21.09% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 42.79% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Kamleshwar Indrajeetkumar of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Vishwamitra Pathak of BJP by a margin of 32,556 votes which was 23.5% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 52.64% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Viswamitra Pathak of BJP won this seat beating Indrajeet Kumar of INC by a margin of 2,468 votes which was 2.27% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 34.18% in the seat.
