In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Babulal of INC won in this seat defeating Durga Lal Vijay (Vakil) of BJP by a margin of 41,710 which was 23.34% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 55.17% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Durgalal Vijay of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Babu Jandail of BSP by a margin of 16,427 votes which was 10.38% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 41.19% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Brijraj Singh of INC won this seat beating Durgalal Vijay of BJP by a margin of 9,452 votes which was 8.15% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 34.04% in the seat.
