In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Ajay Vishnoi of BJP won in this seat defeating Neelesh Awasthi of INC by a margin of 26,712 which was 14.35% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 53.96% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Neelesh Awasthi of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Ajay Vishnoi of BJP by a margin of 12,736 votes which was 7.52% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 50.54% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Ajay Vishnoi of BJP won this seat beating Vikram Singh of INC by a margin of 12,404 votes which was 9.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 45% in the seat.
