In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Narayan Patel of INC won in this seat defeating Ku Narendra Singh Tomar of BJP by a margin of 1,236 which was 0.82% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 47.22% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Lokendra Singh Tomar of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Narayan Patel of INC by a margin of 4,337 votes which was 3.23% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 48.61% in the seat.
