In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Umang Singhar of INC won in this seat defeating Sardarsingh Mehda of BJP by a margin of 38,831 which was 23.05% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 57.53% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Umang Singhar of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Sardarsingh Meda of BJP by a margin of 12,326 votes which was 9.22% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 49.96% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Umang Singhar of INC won this seat beating Chhatarsingh Darbar of BJP by a margin of 21,059 votes which was 23.97% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 54.84% in the seat.
