In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Imarti Devi of INC won in this seat defeating Kaptan Singh of BJP by a margin of 57,446 which was 38.43% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 60.61% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Imarti Devi of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Suresh Rajey of BJP by a margin of 33,278 votes which was 25.92% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 52.77% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Imarti Devi of INC won this seat beating Hargovind Jauhari of BSP by a margin of 10,630 votes which was 11.7% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BSP had a vote share of 32.07% in the seat.
