In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Rajesh Kumar Prajapati of BJP won in this seat defeating Anuragi Harprasad (Gopi Master) of INC by a margin of 1,177 which was 0.89% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 31.16% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, R D Prajapati of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Harprasad of INC by a margin of 37,397 votes which was 31.33% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 55.27% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Ahirwar Ramdayal of BJP won this seat beating R D Prajapati of BJSH by a margin of 958 votes which was 1.05% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJSH had a vote share of 20.65% in the seat.
