In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Mahesh Rai of BJP won in this seat defeating Shashi Kathoria of INC by a margin of 632 which was 0.5% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 45.77% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Mahesh Rai of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Nirmala Sapre of INC by a margin of 18,769 votes which was 15.7% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 51.32% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Dr Smt Vinod Panthi of BJP won this seat beating Dr Om Prakash Kathoria of INC by a margin of 6,409 votes which was 7.51% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 35.28% in the seat.
