In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Surendra Patwa of BJP won in this seat defeating Suresh Pachouri of INC by a margin of 29,486 which was 16.84% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 52.81% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Surendra Patwa of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Suresh Pachouri of INC by a margin of 20,149 votes which was 12.72% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 50.8% in the seat.
