In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Sanjeev Singh (Sanju) of BSP won in this seat defeating Chaudhary Rakesh Singh Chaturvedi of BJP by a margin of 35,896 which was 24.27% of the total votes cast for the seat. BSP had a vote share of 46.72% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Narendra Singh Kushwah of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Sanjeev Singh (Sanju) of BSP by a margin of 5,993 votes which was 4.76% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 40.66% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Chaudhri Rakesh Singh Chaturvedi of INC won this seat beating Narendra Singh Kushwah of SP by a margin of 9,096 votes which was 8.89% of the total votes polled in the constituency. SP had a vote share of 33.82% in the seat.
