In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Pranay Prabhat Pandey (Guddu Bhaiya) of BJP won in this seat defeating Kunwar Saurabh Singh of INC by a margin of 16,435 which was 9.19% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 49.78% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Prabhat Pandey (Bade Babbu) of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Ku Dr Nishith Patel of INC by a margin of 20,918 votes which was 13.18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 34.33% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Dr Nishith Patel of INC won this seat beating Shankar Lal 'Shankar Mahto' of BJSH by a margin of 1,674 votes which was 1.37% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJSH had a vote share of 21.19% in the seat.
