In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Kamlesh Pratap Shah of INC won in this seat defeating Manmohan Shah Batti of GGP by a margin of 10,393 which was 5.15% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 35.53% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Kamlesh Shah of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Uttam Premnarayan Thakur of BJP by a margin of 4,063 votes which was 2.26% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 30.98% in the seat.
