In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, A P Anilkumar of INC won in this constituency beating Midhuna P of CPIM by a margin of 15563 votes which was 9.19% of the total votes cast. In 2016, A.P.Anil Kumar of INC was the winner in this seat beating K.Nishanth of CPIM by a margin of 23864 votes which was 15.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, A.P.Anilkumar of INC won this seat defeating V. Ramesan of CPIM by a margin of 28919 votes which was 21.81% of the total votes polled for the seat.
