Udma Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Kasaragod district in the Malabar region of Kerala: Bedadka, Chemnad, Delampady, Kuttikole and Muliyar Panchayats in Kasaragod Taluk and Pallikere, Pullur-Periya and Udma Panchayats in Hosdurg Taluk.
This constituency covers an approximate area of 460 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Udma is: 12°28'34.0"N 75°09'06.5"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 75.53%, while it was 80.48% in 2016, and 74.17% in 2011.
Victory margin
In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, C H Kunhambu of CPIM won in this constituency beating Balakrishnan Periye of INC by a margin of 13322 votes which was 8.08% of the total votes cast. In 2016, K Kunhiraman of CPIM was the winner in this seat beating K Sudhakaran of INC by a margin of 3832 votes which was 2.38% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, K.Kunhiraman of CPIM won this seat defeating Adv. C K Sreedharan of INC by a margin of 11380 votes which was 8.85% of the total votes polled for the seat.
