In 2014, Pirthi Singh of INLD was the winner in this seat beating Santosh Rani, of BJP by a margin of 9,152 votes which was 6% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Pirthi Singh of INLD won this seat defeating Ramphal of INC by a margin of 20,640 votes which was 16.95% of the total votes polled for the seat.
