In 2014, Karan Dev Kamboj of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Usha Kashyap of INLD by a margin of 23,875 votes which was 16.99% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Ashok Kashyap of INLD won this seat defeating Bhim Sain Mehta of INC by a margin of 9,097 votes which was 8.14% of the total votes polled for the seat.
