In 2014, Dr Kamal Gupta S/O Manphool Singh of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Savitri Jindal of INC by a margin of 13,646 votes which was 12.51% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Savitri Jindal of INC won this seat defeating Gautam Sardana of IND by a margin of 14,728 votes which was 18.87% of the total votes polled for the seat.
