In the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, Dr. Banwari Lal of BJP won in this constituency beating Dr. M.L. Ranga of INC by a margin of 32,245 votes which was 22.41% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Dr Banwari Lal of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Shyam Sunder of INLD by a margin of 37,391 votes which was 27.15% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Rameshwar Dayal of INLD won this seat defeating Shakuntla Bhagwaria of INC by a margin of 22,001 votes which was 20.03% of the total votes polled for the seat.
