In 2014, Mool Chand Sharma of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Lakhan Kumar Singla of INC by a margin of 53,098 votes which was 43.76% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Sharda Rathore of INC won this seat defeating Surender Tewatia of BJP by a margin of 23,844 votes which was 30.96% of the total votes polled for the seat.
