Bihar Election Schedule

18th Bihar Legislative Assembly

Voting for the 18th Bihar Legislative Assembly will be held in a two-phases on November 6, 2025 and November 11, 2025 . There are a total of 243 assembly constituencies in Bihar. The counting of votes is scheduled for November 16, 2025. This election is expected to be a high-stakes contest between the BJP–JD(U)-led NDA and the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan, following multiple alliance shifts by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The current term of the State Assembly is set to conclude on November 22, 2025.
